BEACH HEAVEN HOUSES BY THE SEA****
Many of our guests have found that our houses are the perfect spot for a group gathering of family and friends or for a special occasion, such as wedding by the sea. At Beach Haven or Shore Haven Houses by the Sea the family can get even bigger and still have plenty of space indoors and out.
We have calculated that if you adopt any one of our houses by the Sea as your regular summer home, you will save considerable money (not to mention time and effort) in comparison to cottage ownership. Join our growing family and inquire about details, including our discount for returning guests.
We would also like to suggest that you might consider dividing your time between our two vacation rental home locations. In addition to the joy of experiencing different parts of Nova Scotia, this would also qualify you for our discount for booking two weeks or more.
As we have done for others, we would be happy to make one of our homes yours while you hunt for your dream home with the realtor of your choice.

The booking confirmation form provides the details of your rental. To make a reservation we request a valid credit card number. Payment of 50% of the rental amount is required at the time of booking with the remainder, plus the 13% HST, due 4 weeks before arrival. A refundable damage deposit will be put on a swipe of your credit card at the time of arrival.

**** No folks this is not a typo or a misprint! A wonderful family with four children who joined us for two weeks at Shore Haven in 2003 returned for another two weeks in 2005 & 2007 as the children insisted that they had to come back to "Shore Heaven" (the kids' secret name for their favourite holiday home).

What can you do as a guest?
As a guest we want you to be as comfortable as possible and enjoy yourself. There are a few things you can do to help us preserve and sustain our natural resources.
*Turn off lights when leaving the room. Turn off or turn up the thermostat on your air conditioner while you are out for a few hours or for the day. In the cooler months turn off or turn down the thermostat on your heater before leaving
*Please follow our recycling directions and above all DO NOT LITTER.
*Minimize water use (e.g. do not wash dishes under the running tap, use the dish pan, do not leave the tap running while brushing teeth). Since we have flow meters on the houses, guests play a critical role in helping us demonstrate to the department of the environment what the reasonable requirements for septic design are.
*Use scent-free, bio-friendly soaps and cleaners
*Keep the humming bird and other feeders full, but don't feed the other animals such as the chipmunks, squirrels or deer (it interferes with their natural ability to take care of themselves and makes them dependent on people)
*Respect the plants and trees by, for example, not breaking branches or removing the birch bark
